Good morning, LLOPSters:

We are excited to announce that this month’s meeting will feature AALL Executive Board Member Karen Selden, who is the Metadata Services Librarian at the University of Colorado Law Library in Boulder. Karen’s areas of expertise and research interests include cataloging, classification, and metadata creation for legal materials and her library’s digital collections. She presents and publishes articles on topics such as the future of the library catalog; cataloging internet-based resources; accessing electronic resources; and metadata creation for digital archives. She co-authored 2004 Law Library Journal Article of the Year “The Catalog vs. The Homepage? Best Practices in Connecting to Online Resources” and in 2019 she received the Renee D. Chapman Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions in Technical Services Law Librarianship from AALL’s Technical Services Special Interest Section. In addition to serving on the AALL Executive Board, she was also the 2014-2015 Chair of AALL’s Online Bibliographic Services Special Interest Section. You can find out more about Karen here.

In addition, AALL generously provided us with one complimentary registration to the 2021 Virtual Conference to give away to a lucky LLOPS member. We will hold a raffle during the meeting to select the recipient.
