Special Committee for Membership Management

At our August meeting, the Board appointed a Special Committee to last no more than one year with the express purpose of researching online membership management tools and making a recommendation to the Board by the June 2014 meeting.  Ideally, this tool would allow members to pay membership dues online with Paypal or a similar third-party vendor, edit his or her online profile, search a password-protected membership directory and access secure documents, such as the Salary Survey.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee maintains current records of LLOPS members, assists in producing annual membership directory, and sends out chapter information to new members or interested people.

The Social Committee coordinates social events throughout the year for LLOPS members.

Spring Professional Development Committee

LLOPS did not hold a professional development workshop in 2013 due to hosting the Annual Meeting.  We would like to revive this important membership education opportunity but we must have a chair identified by October 1 or it will not happen in 2014.

The Professional Development Spring Committee plans and presents the annual educational workshop; a project-oriented committee with activity focused in a four-month period.

Newsletter/Blog Committee

The Newsletter/Blog Committee produces LLOPSCited. Committee chair(s) serves as editor. Members serve as layout editors, reporters, and business managers.

The Program Committee arranges and schedules each LLOPS monthly meeting; develops programs reflecting the interests of the membership; keeps files of past speakers and meeting sites.
