LLOPS President’s Message
by Jennifer Hill
I can’t believe that six months have gone by since I started my term as LLOPS president. It seems like only yesterday I was in July-hot Boston completing chapter leadership training at the AALL conference and here I am today writing the winter president’s message. This past year was lots of fun: our Halloween party meeting provided a fun break with good food and fun with glue guns (thanks, Kim Ositis!); we had happy hour at Gordon Biersch and we capped the year off with our wonderful holiday party. The party was very nice with great food and a fabulous location. Thanks very much again to Thomson Reuters for sponsoring our annual event and to Heather Heen, Kim Ositis and Amy Eaton for all of their hard work with planning/hosting.
I am looking forward to 2013: we’ll have our first business meeting of the year at the end of January and in May we will have a visit from AALL President Jean Wenger. Then of course in July we get to experience AALL in Seattle! Plenty of LLOPS members are working on local arrangements and hopefully many of us will plan to attend. This year’s meeting is sure to be one of the best ever.
Happy New Year!
