Bloomberg Eats BNA
The Wall Street Journal reports a recent purchase involving Bloomberg and BNA. What appears obvious is that Bloomberg will add BNA’s abilities to its law division, Bloomberg Law. The move should position Bloomberg to better compete with the big two legal research databases, LexisNexis and Thomson West. Librarians of course will keep their eyes peeled for new developments and hopefully the competition will breed better legal information and access (good news so long as the portfolios don’t physically disappear).
