Legal Research Tune Up 2015 – May 20 @ 9:30
The Seattle University and Lane Powell law firm law libraries are pleased to offer a legal research workshop to help students brush up on their legal research skills for their summer employment or other summer research endeavors. The workshop will cover state and federal legislative history, regulations, and practice materials using a problem-based approach. Students will have hands-on practice working through research scenarios. Please bring your laptop.
The workshop is free and will be held on Wednesday May 20th from 9:30 – 11:30 am in Sullivan Hall room 109. Coffee and breakfast snacks will be provided. Please RSVP here by May 18th.

Lunch and Learn with Donna Nixon, AALL Executive Board Member and current Electronic Resources and Access Services Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to sharing thoughts about AALL programs and plans, Donna will kick off a discussion about current trends in teaching legal research in law schools and law firms. LLOPS members, Sarah Andeen (Williams Kastner), Sarah Griffith (U.S. Courts), and Jessica King (Perkins Coie) will add comments on training in firms and in the courts.
We hope you will share your ideas with us over a “free lunch” of pizza and salads!
