President's Message

Every year for the last several years, I hope to remember to buy David Byrne tickets before they sell out in a matter of minutes.  Every year I fail at this task!  For the past week, I’ve been telling myself to walk to the Showbox (cash in hand — they don’t accept cards) to buy tickets to see my long-time favorite band, Built to Spill, in November.  I am a pragmatist, and this is a task better suited for me.  Built to Spill is in town for 2 nights and probably won’t sell out until the night of the first show.  If I keep reminding myself via countless Outlook reminders and free iPhone apps, I’m fairly certain I will make it to the show.  Why am I telling you this?  It’s not to scare you, I promise.
