Project Management by the Numbers

This week’s LLOPS meeting featured a presentation by Donna Baker, CFM at Stoel Rives LLP, on Project Management.

Librarians are consistently engaged in projects, and planning out the steps, rather than just going for it, can only make the results that much better.

Here’s my outline of the presentation:

1. Define the project and its importance

  • Explain project objectives
  • Be aware of problems that could hinder progress

2. Gather a team or individual(s)

  • Confirm and make understood who the team leader(s) are
  • Make individual responsibilities apparent
