A Little Resolve in the New Year

by Kristine Lloyd

Happy New Year, LLOPS members! Are we all still nibbling cake3on the remnants of holiday goodies? The office remains a wonderful dumping ground for all those chocolate-covered cherries and fruitcakes that you want to excorcise your home of, which, of course, makes New Year’s resolutions such a challenge. Speaking of New Year’s resolve, your own LLOPSCited Blog has made a few resolutions for 2010:

More accessorizing: Yes, that’s right–we’re going to get a makeover in 2010. A little more make-up, maybe a nice cut and color and a vow to wear less black. As we revamp our chapter website, we’ll also be spiffying up the looks of our blog.

Find balance: As we adapt to this new online format, we’ll be tweaking the content and length of our coverage, to make sure we have a healthy balance of quick current events posts and more lengthy exploratory pieces.

Pick up a new instrument:With so many electronic resources on the market, we’ll be doing more product reviews to help keep you current on new resources. Look for an upcoming review of Bloomberg Law.

It takes a village: A blog is like a baby. You have to feed it. A lot. Thankfully, we have recently formed a blog committee to help feed the baby. Your current editor is a bit of an unfit mother.

Let’s talk about YOU: We’ll be stalking you more in 2010. We want to know more about your life. What did you eat for breakfast today? Who are you wearing? What reference question did you answer that made you feel like a champ?

And your resolution: sign up for LLOPSCited email alerts so you don’t have to remind yourself to check the blog for updates. One less thing to remember in 2010!
